Changing this, that, and the other thing.

Within the past two days, one pair of neighbors has moved out of the second floor apartment and another has moved in. When we got home tonight after picking J up from work (see below for exciting details!), there was a minivan in my usual parking spot. So, as the lights were on in the apartment, I decided to knock on the door and ask politely if that spot could be saved for me as it's what I'm used to, what I've had for the past four years, or however long it's been. They seemed really normal. By my standards. Nice, easy-going. Not snobby or criminally inclined. I hope they like it there and stick around. And that the good first impression is accurate.

Justin decided we needed to put some oil in the car tonight on the drive home, so we stopped at Sunoco to grab some. When he went to remove the oil cap, however, it was less than cooperative so that when he finally got it loose, it went flying... down into the engine somewhere. After mucking about with it for about twenty minutes, we decided to head home and see what we could do from there since oil wasn't sputtering out when I started the car. Right as we hit our little alleyway, the cap fell out onto the street. I pulled around and parked while Justin retrieved the cap and finished putting oil in. Tomorrow, though, the car is definitely going into the shop. I hope.

With regards to work stuff, I got a call from someone in HR last week asking me to make an appointment to come in and discuss the difficulties with my account manager. I declined. Since making the phone calls and what not, even if the DM and I only left each other voice mail messages, my AM seems to be putting out effort to correct some of the problems we've had with him. So, I'll back off for now. If he's trying to fix things, I'm not going to continue to complain. However, if things get bad again, I know who to call. So far, he's done better, though. That makes me happy. I didn't want to get anyone in trouble; I just wanted things to go smoothly here, as they should.

Getting a lot of work done on DoA lately. That, too, makes me happy.

Now, time to kill things.
