today is sean's birthday! he is eight. for his birthday present to his parents, hobbit-fashion, he allowed us to sleep in and did not trash the apartment or rip apart any of my books.

(which was really rather good of him as i spent most of last night in agony despite four percocet and two lidoderm patches. pain is still rather bad. wtf did i do? seriously.)
