couple had sex in a police station car park in broad daylight no less. they had to be physically stopped mid-sex-act. this is what i call chutzpah. or 'a right set of balls'. or just really horny. whatever.

vegetarian spider shuns meat diet fascinating, if you like spiders.

london 1948 olympic torch on sale on ebay, natch.

chinese dyslexia has big differences vs english dyslexia this is a 'no shit' kind of thing, considering that english-braille dyslexia has huge differences between english-print dyslexia. (one of sean's early vision teachers knew a kid who was blind and dyslexic and the poor kid had a huge issue getting diagnosed, because they just flat-transcribed the print-dyslexia tests into braille, instead of giving thought as to which braille letters are mirror views of each other; they eventually figured it out but it did take some time.)

(and yes, you can have dyslexia and blindness at the same time time. dyslexia is a brain-issue. i'm only saying it because it escaped a LOT of people.)

17 pound 4 month old baby denied health insurance for being too 'fat'. but of course we don't need health care reform, god forbid. *seethe* (and probably some idiotic fool is going to put that poor baby on a diet. and yet Chris and I get CPS called on us for being 'bad' parents ...) *seethe x 10*

(don't mind me. it's just one of my Issues. no, i do not believe we are bad parents, and i know there are mandated reporters that have to call cps should they suspect the slightest thing. i also know for a fact that at least one of those people who called in was almost certainly my mother-in-law and another of them may have been a mandated reporter but even the school district's lawyer said that the person in question went WAY too far in calling when they did. i have Issues. i'll work it out eventually.)

in an entirely different vein, this looks tasty: flourless poppyseed cake. an 'old' recipe but she posted it on her twitter today. it's from chocolate and zucchini, so i am absolutely certain it's wonderful. will bake it soon i think. maybe as sean's birthday cake (oh hell in thirteen days he'll be eight. god i'm old.)

pain is getting better but am still following through with locating new pain doctor. have yet to hear anything. they close at 4 (thought they closed at 5) will call in the AM tomorrow (tuesday 10/13/09) i think, give them a little time to process their backlog given that it was faxed after business hours on Friday.

this week i have to: get passport photos/try to deal with INS to get temporary green card (reason for passport photos)/try and deal with SS office/try to find human being at pain clinic.

i expect it's going to contain a few unsent letters.

i sincerely hope this pain clinic is good because from first inspection it seems impossible to get through to them without a signed letter from at least two major deities.

thinking kind of about having a party for sean's birthday with maybe his friend N. from school. i think i will lie down quietly until this madness passes. i am not good at that sort of thing...

but he would love it.

oh hell.

*fail*

look honey it's bullshit, parentfail, medical-go-round, pain
