the most dangerous biscuit in britain is the custard cream (for the americans: biscuit == cookie). this has actual science behind it and is marvelous.
(ah, okay - i have been corrected. biscuits are plainer cookies like arrowroot and shortbread. which are most of the cookies i like. i got some meyer lemon ones today at trader joe's, they look v. tasty.)
south african carrier pigeon faster than ADSL. this link makes me positively gleeful. i'm so happy they ran the test. seriously. <3<3
teenager invents $50 solar panel solution made with human hair ... wow.
i have nothing going today. i think that's a good thing. tried the new sleep-thing last night and slept moderately well except that my dreams were weirder than usual (and given that my dreams are usually weird - side effect of the methadone - that's just messed up. had to surround myself with pillows so i wouldn't roll on my back. felt like i was using one of those baby-positioner things. still tired (not like that's unusual).
kidlet had an excellent first day at school yesterday. he's in an integrated k-2 room this year (meaning he'll move again next year) where most of the other kids are nonverbal but less 'locked in'? i guess? than his former class. also this one is more of an age cohort.
thinking about volunteering for things. may lie down for a while and see if that urge goes away. at the very least that's a subject for a later post.
