i think it was partly the fact that IMO the new girl looks like Thirteen but i just ordered the 'first season' box set of the new dr. who. (my brain refuses to call it the 'first season' without scary quotes because i remember seeing one or two of the older ones with tom baker in them. )

and i KNOW (given Torchwood) that the bbc has a tendency of fucking with my heart. why must they ply me with cute girls? they know i can't resist cute girls. or cute boys.
