Hastings wants too much . . .

Gina and I stopped in Hastings this afternoon just to poke around and get out of the house. (I found a copy of the Transformers: Identification and Price Guide which -- despite the questionable quality of many of the photos -- is one of the best Transformers guides I've seen so far)

While wandering around and checking their shelves I found the G.I. Joe toy pack, Cobra Arctic Assault Squad, for the ridiculous price of $48. I say ridiculous because I bought one of these last week from Amazon for $25. I think I like the Amazon price a lot better.

What is the Cobra Arctic Assault Squad? It's a pack of seven Cobra figures all decked out in snow gear. I don't know why but I've always loved arctic/snow stuff, even going so far as to running too many RPG adventures set in arctic environments. The Scrap Iron figure is especially nice, but having three Snow Serpents makes me very happy. It's unfortunate that Hasbro canceled the Arctic H.I.S.S. toy they were planning, since that would have made a great vehicle for these guys.
