...So, 13-year-old hearts are fickle, it seems. Two days after his Valentines outing, my older boy got a message on Facebook saying that he was a sweet guy, but that he and the young lady just didn't "fit." It was a little sparse on details. Then, in a rambling thread some of his friends consoled him that she never stays with any one guy for long, that she doesn't know what she wants, and to buck up. Others said, "Gee, `Sweet guy' sounds like code for `Loser'." He was bummed at first, but seems to be philosophical about it today. Nothing ventured...I suppose.
