A tribute to my '04, '05 & '06 Taj Peeps!

Jul 19, 2006 09:09

Ok! It's time to get sentimental. And in no particular order...

Cody and I braved Yoka in'04 &'05, seeking refuge in Tabiji, Ohsho, Katashima, Asago gym and most importantly,in each other. He's the bestest boy friend a girl could have! We shall be reunited in Tokyo! Yattttttta! I luurrve u!

In '04 & '05, Chris and I reinvented the term "to lay down with friends". Chris also taught me that the phrase "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" doesn't mean that the tough run away. Pleasure and pain took on a brand new meaning with our pairing. I will always remember Bali and everything after.

The official '04, '05, & '06 playmate! Lauren is the bestest girl friend ever! Ever supportive and encouraging, Lauren made life in the Taj so much more fun! I will miss our road trips, '80s singalongs, tennis playing, track jogging, Izushi stay overs, champagne Sundays, and her awesomeness! I luuuuurve this lady!!!

'04, '05, & '06 Taj cannot be mentioned without Kelly in the picture! Kelly always has always been there for me, dispensing advice and cooking delicious food! She will be dearly missed! Luff so much!!

Fay! My '05 girl! She rocked Tajultimate '05 completely! She's my favourite British chic chick! Kaiten sushi, bitch sessions, smoking ciggies in vans has not been the same for me ever since Fay. Much lurrrve!

Lukey Pukey! Even though I can't make out what my Lukey is saying half the time, I understand him. He can be the sweetest sweetie pie or starkly opposite at times. Either way, I still lurrrve you!!!!

I believe that Ryan is one of the first people I met in Tokyo before the Taj! Full of historical & strange facts and probably full of royalties (he will share with me) after "Thunderdog" gets syndicated, Ryan has been a great listening ear and confidante especially in '06! And we will always have China! (cue Kenny G and street hawkers)

In times of adversity (my '04 boys leaving, me constantly failing my driving tests and my general malaise of late '05), Chance and the person next to him, supported me tirelessly. I will forever be grateful and thankful for that. Even though one of us went absolutely batshit crazy mean, bitched up and totally psychozoid ( I leave all you discerning readers to guess who), I will always cherish the memories of Journey at karaoke and great company. I truly had an awesome time. And Chance. I still have your khaki slacks. Please advise on how to return.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of Andy "Androooo" Nahon. But my adoration for him is akin to my penchant for panda bears, so there. Androooo is a great Yoga buddy, a mean tennis player and an awesome gossip. Kaiten sushi at 9pm after Yoga every Wednesday does not seem weird when Androooo is around!

This is a special shout out to Gareth! I don't have a picture of you! Gareth is a prince among men, driving me from Oya to Yoka every Wednesday! I will always remember my Taj Wednesdays because of his kindness and generosity! Cheers mate!

I love or loved all of you, at all times or at some time. Thank you for the good times, fuck you for the bad times and I wish everyone luck with whatever lies ahead. I won't be too far away come September. Tokyo never is, wherever you are in the world.

Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuaks (That's the sound a big kiss makes).
