... can Saru control when he fires spikes from the base of his skull? It seemed pretty involuntary when he shot up the Ba'ul. And previously his threat ganglia seemed to just come out on their own when he sensed a threat, regardless of whether or not he wanted them to. Because if whenever he gets really angry or threatened he starts shooting spikes around the place, well, this could make life very entertaining aboard the Discovery...
