i was disappearing in plain sight
• This past week was one of the worst work weeks I've had in a long time. Just plum WORN OUT.
• The heel on one of my black boots - which I LOVED and were only a few months old - fell apart. I stopped off at Famous Footwear on the way home from work yesterday and found a decent replacement pair, which were not only on clearance but were cheaper still thanks to a discount card I had. But. They're not the same. Also, unneeded expense.
• Did mini-shopping therapy: picked up Sherlock series one on dvd. Already listened to the commentary with Benedict, Martin, and Mark (♥ ♥ ♥) and watched the "making of" special. Wish there were more extras. Would kill for a blooper reel.
• Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy is about as weird as I expected but not as funny. I think it will take time. It makes me feel like I'm back in freshman film seminar watching Man Ray and Hans Richter and Buñuel & Dali but with H.R. Pufnstuf vomited all over it. I like a challenge. And it's Noel, so of course I'll keep up with it.
• For some reason, I thought SPN was back this week. Very disappointed when I realized, duh, it isn't Feb. 3rd yet.
• Jeopardy had a Doctor Who AND Neil Gaiman clue, each, this week. \m/
• Started backing up my LJ - something I've been meaning to do for years. The tool I used didn't migrate all of my entries though, so I guess I'll have to do a second attempt. Anyway, I have a Dreamwidth account now, same name as here. But, at the moment, I have no plans to use it as anything other than backup.
