Computer chose the WORST time to act up. Last night, computer? Really? Of all nights! And still now. Let's see if it hangs in there long enough to post.
Geez, 24 hours away, and I already miss you guys.
Firstly:
Happy 100th episode, Supernatural!
BOYS! OH BOYS! Not a heart-hurty "OH BOYS." But a good one. A GOOD one. What the fuck is this? I think that's the first time an episode ended with me smiling. And nearly crying from happiness. I... I don't know what to do with this feeling. It doesn't FIT with Show. I'm confused! I need a lie-down.
Maybe it's a trap. OMG, it's a trap!
Okay, okay.
Not happy for Adam, who I guess either got obliterated or will be meatsuiting Michael soon. (And I'm just guessing. If you know spoilers, keep them to yourself please.) Poor Adam. So, if that happens, is this going to be their twist on the brother vs. brother showdown they've been hinting at?
Gonna miss Zachariah. He was a bastard. But he was a deliciously despicable bastard. Probably the most villainous villain Show has ever had. Loved that we got a glimpse of burn-mark wing.
Um. Erotically?
Cas kicking ass. Twice in one episode! \m/ There has been some amazing fight choreography on the show lately, and Castiel's first fight scene tonight was a fine example of that. And, sweet buttery jesus, I love that he had the Enochian thingum carved into his chest with a box cutter. Cas, you BAMF. :D
And Dean whumpage! Honey, Dean, sweetie? You know I love you, right? But you had that coming. ("You're not my father"? Ouch! "I don't believe... in you." Fucking OUCH!) And you made good in the end. And you looked stunning. Holy fuck, Jensen, way to steal all the best genes that ever existed in the history of humankind ever. (Seriously, he didn't even save enough to share with his own family. Come on, you know it's true. They're attractive folks, but he's like a pod person next to them.) Also he should not look that pretty with blood all over his mouth. But he does. Oh man, does he ever.
Also, Jared looked GORGEOUS. Sometimes I almost forget how beautiful he is. Really, it's Jensen's fault. *nods decisively* I think it helped that Jared's hair was parted to the side (middle parts just don't suit his face). He was especially striking in the scene between Sam and Adam at Bobby's.
God, I really loved Sam in this episode. He truly stepped up, demonstrated how much he's matured. For instance, on running away: "And I was wrong every single time." *sniff* Jared stepped up with some very strong, mostly subdued acting, IMO. Additionally, I love how Sam had faith in Dean, and showed it, when Dean didn't even have any left for him (and, to me, that was the last straw-not Dean losing faith in himself, but losing faith in Sam, i.e. his world).
What is up with Dean and the winking lately? Twice in this one. Heh.
Was the amount of green in this episode at an all time high or was it just me? Sometimes (like at Bobby's), it was blended with blue. There were punches of orange and red (note neon sign over jesus freak's head as camera pans down onto him) too. The teaser set the tone: I couldn't help but notice that green lamp over the pool table and how it was placed in the foreground in that one shot of Zach and the poor sacked dude. Just too noticeable not to be deliberate. Then I couldn't not see it after that. Continuing with the green theme: the green jacket Dean put on after zapping Cas... was that the same green jacket 2014!Dean wore in "The End"? It was, wasn't it?
Also return of spiky clock. Heh. In Dean's motel room. That thing gets around.
I love writing like the scene in which Bobby asks how Dean and then Sam is doing, and Sam says nothing. Unable to speak, or finding nothing to say or just letting the rhetorical nature of the question hang there. Or all of the above. Show really gets how less is more.
All in all, wonderful episode. Wonderful.
