Re: well i'm still hoping that 'ruby' is actually lilith philomel September 27 2008, 02:46:41 UTC
I really like that theory, and I hope you are right. It would match up with what Lilith said in "NRFTW" about sending Ruby far, far away, besides being a devious stratagem. I don't want to believe Kripke et. al. would allow for such an OOC performance without some reasoning behind it.

No indeed! :)

That's an interesting thought. And if they go with traditional angel lore--that, unlike demons, angels were never human--then, if the angels keep falling, it looks like they might be outnumbered quickly, what with the demons ability to replenish their numbers.

Hopefully the spell Bobby cast was enough to send all the witnesses back, well, to wherever they came from. Although I kinda like the idea of the boys running into more old, familiar faces (minus the attempts at evisceration, of course).

Castiel needs to bring Dean pie! That would lead to a more harmonious relationship, I'm sure. :)

Agreed, Misha Collins is rocking that role. I'm so enamored of him at the moment!

I loved the ghosts and their guilt-inducing ways too .

Answer me this - all those room upstairs in Bobby's house and Sam and Dean are sleeping on the couch and the floor in the living room. Pourquoi?

I quietly squeed about Dean sleeping while Sam drove too. I don't recall having seen that very often, if at all.

Jensen's bow legs drive me a little crazy. Just a little.

I like the new Ruby, but then I wasn't overly attached to the old one. She grew on me over the course of the season, but I didn't really mourn her passing. I agree though, this Ruby is definitely a softer, gentler demon than Katie's.

It's so wrong that the scene in the gas station bathroom made me think of all the fic I've read in which Sam and Dean have sex in gas station bathrooms.

I'm wondering how long until we see panic room porn.

LOL Yes! (Wait. Pie is a euphemism for sex, right?)

Good question. Maybe Bobby fell behind on his upstairs housekeeping? Um. >_> Actually, I could just imagine him filling those extra rooms with all kinds of bizarre weapons, relics, herbs, etc. Like his downstairs, only 10 times more cluttered and completely uninhabitable.

It must be since S1 that we've seen Dean sleep in the car. So cute. Boy's all tuckered out from a long pie-less day.

It's the softer approach that bugs me. Even with a different host, I'd expect the demon to retain some of the previous edge and snark. But I like catdancerz's idea about S4!Ruby really being Lilith.

I'm loving all the Castiel love!!!

But I have to say this..he should have gotten all up in Dean's face, he's an archangel, he's a warrior, he helped fight and defeat Lucifer in Heaven..honestly, Dean's not a blink of an eye's worth of trouble for him, if that.

Certainly. It's a power Dean's never even dealt with before, and Castiel put Dean in his place. At the same time, it's wonderful to see Dean not back down. After all, that's just not the Winchester way. (Well, most of the time!)

I want Kripke and co. to have something up their sleeves, some twist to render this utterly off characterization finally justifiable.

I was hoping her characterization was off because her being sent far away or whatever Lilith had said had made her human. But then last night she said she's a demon, so, clearly not.

I love you, Show!

Show is AWESOME! Is it really only slated for 5 seasons? :(

That would have been a reasonable explanation too. Crap. :/ But then, catdancerz has the idea that Lilith might be pretending to be Ruby, which would be another great explanation. *hopes*

*whimpers* Yeah, I wish Kripke would stop saying that. Even if it is his goal to stop after 5, in the meantime I'd like to play dumb and imagine the boys going on forever and forever. Bowleggedly and sweatily into the sunset. Don't leave us, Show!
