I need a job with better hours just for SPN. Busted my ass to try to get done in time, but still missed the first 12 minutes of the premiere. Watched the rest anyway, then watched the tape in full.
In all honesty, there's not much I can say. I loved it. I love this show. SO. MUCH.
It's not just any series that can evoke every possible reaction: delight, fear, ache, horror, giddiness, lust, etc. ad infinitum. From the shallow end to the deep end, it's a full-on ride (or a swim? if I'm going with the pool analogy, which I really shouldn't).
I'm intrigued by the new girl. Is that Bella? Interested to see where they take her character. I have faith in Kripke & co.-they know the show is all about the boys, so it's doubtful they'll fuck with that. Bringing in new characters, especially badass females, doesn't bother me. But then, I had no qualms about Jo or Ellen either. Like I said, I trust that the creators understand where the focus of their show is... whoever satellites around Sam and Dean is never gonna be able to outshine them. (Seriously, the boys're prettier than every guy and girl who has ever been on the show. Not that it's all about prettiness... but you know, important things, too, like plot and character arcs and shiny hair.)
Hope they don't take too long to bring Ellen back. But I love Bobby, so yay for him being so integral to tonight's episode. (In future, please don't yell so much, Bobby. Is scary.)
Minus the screaming, I liked Tamara.
And the boys. Oh, the boys. They were just... they're just... the boys. *sigh* You know.
There were some moments where the prettiness caught my breath and I had to rewind. Okay, yes, with the blade-sharp acting and the priceless interactions. One can acknowledge the poignancy of the characters' stories and still appreciate their super-hot hotness at the same time, right? Without being entirely morally bankrupt. 'Cause, really, my morals were in the red before I even started watching this show.
