send the ghosts on their way

First off: Jensen Ackles on Kimmel. Is he not just the definition of cool and suave? Not that sleek, phony kind of suaveness, but the earthy, reserved kind. Just... sex. Yeah, that's it.

And, "Do you curl your eyelashes?" *cackles*

Thank you for enabling my latest crush, Kimmel casting people. (Even though your show's host is still an idiot.)

A Claire episode I actually enjoyed! Now if they could just make a Jack episode that's enjoyable, I'd say Lost was finally back on track. Except, no, scratch that. There have been enough Jack episodes. Someone else needs a turn. Like, say, Charlie? Or Locke! I hope next week won't be a letdown... such as: the reason Locke became wheelchair-bound was... he was playing a portable, electronic chess game while driving.

What a relief to see that block of C4 dynamite 'splodey stuff in Locke's bag. He's not a complete nob afterall. Even with that revelation, his character has been a little out a whack these past two episodes. Maybe it'll pay off next week and we'll find out what's up.

Meanwhile, that first scene with the banter between Sayid, Locke, Kate and Russian Guy was priceless. The writers had their Wheaties that day. Intense, but wryly humorous too, with absolutely spot on timing.

The bird-catching space filler, though one coconut short of a Gilligan scheme, didn't seem quite as harebrained as other Lost subplots. Claire's characterization was finally strong and solid, not just a baby-toting body in the background, and I'm glad to see it. I even enjoyed the C/C moment; they weren't cloying! Furthermore, I don't know what it was, but Dom looked bloody edible in this episode. I haven't felt that stirring for him in a while (well, not on the show), but some of those shots just caught his beauty perfectly. The sandiness of his scruff in the fading sunlight. Those irresistible eye crinkles. Yespleaseandthankyou.

Enough of this death stuff already. Desmond, doll? Get a new prediction. *shakes him like a magic 8-ball*

Loved the way Dom read the birdy note. Wonderful delivery there.

Gonna miss Russian Guy. His death was gruesome. And awesome.

Was really afraid someone might fall with that log ramp they rigged to get over the giant school bells on sticks.

SAYID. *happy sigh* Again, quite a bit of him. Looking pretty and intense and bemused. But why didn't we get to see him climb over the security thingies, with that big thick log clenched between his thighs? Possibly sweating and/or grunting? WHY? S'not fair.

I loved the way he said Kate's name. Nnngh. Firm but not controlling. And much higher believability that that tone would get someone's attention than, for instance, Kate's usual "Hey!"

Overall, not as squeefull as "Enter 77," but another good episode.

Oh, also. Jack and Tom are so doing it.

Oh, and for anyone who missed Eddie Izzard's new drama, The Riches, FX is rerunning the pilot this Saturday at 10 p.m. and Sunday at 11 p.m.. It looks really promising so far. And Eddie's in it, which is really all I need (even if his attempts at an American accent are closer to parody than the real thing... but his acting makes up for it).

lost, the riches, ackles, supernatural
