Back in the office again. Rosie's, that is. Clock says 9:07 a.m. as I start this. That's around the time I get up on a regular Monday. *grins* You know what though? I'm not working for Wachovia today... so yippie-fucking-doo! I'll take this kind of Monday over the average kind ANY day.
Since last posting, we had a lovely party Saturday. I may have gotten intoxicated a little too early, resulting in a bit of a zoned-out mood (but conscious!) most of the night. Great bonfire--though still weak compared to the one we had during my last visit. hee. I even poked around this one. It felt wonderful in the chill night air. Rivendell West looked gorgeous, near-magical strung with white lights and lit with candles all around the gazebo. Good food, good people, good music played on Rosie's car stereo. All in all? Good. :)
Yesterday, we played with the doggies (well, Rosie tended to them as well), then we hiked down to the creek with Maggie, Katie and Jaimoe. Beautiful, serene spot. Later, we had delicious leftover homemade chili and cheese bread and watched movies: Hotel Rwanda (phenomenal... I do believe Don Cheadle is one of the best actors around today), Charlotte Gray (kind of missed bits of this, but it was rather pretty-- Billy Crudup included ;)--and Cate is always amazing), as well as bits of other films, Bill Maher's show (I miss him being on ABC *smites unfunny Kimmel*) and HBO's Rome. ETA: Oh, I also saw a second season episode of Carnivale (*spoils self* eep) and finally got to see Father Ted (like a good Anglophile, ish).
Sent off to sleep with FOTR, first EE disc. The ultimate comfort movie. I think I'd forgotten about "Middle-earth therapy." And I need to remember it more often. Put on the soundtrack, watch some scenes or appendices if I'm not able to watch an entire part of the trilogy. It soothes the somber beast. *nods*
I love Lost, but it will never replace LOTR for me. Not that I ever expected it to. Nothing will. That said, I'm thrilled for a new episode this Wednesday! I just wish I could watch it with Rosie and Ricky.
Hee, now it's 10:03. Posting takes a while longer when you're chit-chatting. ;) Nean made yummy coffee. Mmmmm, caffeine.
Hope y'all are well. Are you? You better be. ;)
