how I spent my 3 day weekend

Mar 29, 2011 21:53

Day 1 (Sunday): Brunch with Norris at the Mo Hist Museum.  Not as pricey as some and not the standard fare.  No eggs in chafing dishes but they included a la carte ordering in small portions.  Perfect.  Order a Belgian Waffle and out comes an Eggo© sized made to order, perfectly syruped mouthful.  The Eggs Benedict.... I felt as if I was a judge on Top Chef it was so good; the review was spot on.
Wandered through the exhibits again and got to enjoy a Cajun trio performing in the Main Hall.

Wandered around Delmar checking out some Art Galleries and shops then dropped him off to head over to Cabernet.
Since then?
Sick.  Wasn't sure it was not just a cough since I didn't have any other symptoms but knowing my body so well I knew.  My skin all over my body was feeling tingly.
Monday spent all day in bed, sleeping probably 20 hours.  Tuesday the gang got me to meet them for lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, long overdue because we'd not all met in over a month.  In that time T-Na's dad headed for and returned from the brink of death. Gaby made a quick 5 day trip to home/Mexico that none of us knew about and Kenton... well I knew all about him because I was with him on TBRU but he still had a long discourse on work drama for me lol.
Didn't manage to stay out to catch movies having only energy enough to hit Sam's for some weekly necessities and head back to bed.
Yup, slept more; so much that my muscle aches are not from illness but rather laying horizontal for too long.
I don't mind being sick on my days off.  I still have Opening day on Thursday to break up my workweek.
I've not been sick since after the cruise 2004.  Like my once a year pimple, I guess this is it for my once a decade illness.
