Oh, Brooke. Brooke, Brooke, Brooke. When is your album coming out? I want to see you where you belong, at 930 Club, just you and your piano.
I still don't get why people love David Archuleta. He has a nice voice, but he is devoid of stage presence, charm, and X-factor these past few weeks. I think the judges' comments about him are more symptomatic of being pre-scripted than the Paula/Jason Castro gaffe.
There was a commenter on the EW boards that said you can absolutely tell by the editing of the first five minutes of the ep who is getting eliminated, and when the first five minutes of this ep were about how boring Katarzyna is, I knew her goose was cooked. The judges about face on Anya (for the last few weeks she was described as real and refreshing, now she is devoid of personality?) was weird. If Whitney is not going to win, then I hope Anya does, because she seems to legitimately be a human being, and she does well in all of the challenges. Fatima is ok, but I think she has the potential to go off the rails. And Dominique is just a walking, talking trainwreck. What on earth was she wearing last night? Was she going to an earth toned jazzercise class? WHY?
I was embarrassed for myself last night as to how into this show I've gotten.
I did start The Wire Season One last night. Too early for me to make any impressions, but I am enjoying it so far.
I am still chugging through The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which I am enjoying very much.
Tomorrow, I am going to my Dad's recognition ceremony at the Pentagon, and then we are going to Ben's Chili Bowl. And then I am seeing Iron Man at the Uptown. Hopefully, it won't pour, because I'd really like to walk to Cleveland Park. And I'd also really like to get me some Vace pizza!
