So, it was Carly. C'est la vie. Brooke was visibly shocked about being safe. I thought Paula was kind of a bitch to her on Tuesday. After all, when was the last time Paula Abdul sang live? You can't forget the words when you're lip synching. I know it's important for performers to have confidence, but I'm not sure Paula Abdul needs to be giving anyone advice on how to be a genuine musical performer.
I know it was Lauren's time. She clearly is uncomfortable speaking in front of a camera. But I also feel like they're keeping Dominique on as some sort of carnival sideshow. I also think Whitney's going to have some sort of breakdown soon, which is sad, because I like her. The outfit Anya had for the challenge was hellacious--orange plaid, fake fur, and pleather do not mix.
I had a dream last night that my hair was dyed platinum blonde. Damn you, Tyra Banks
The Phillies, after coming from behind not once, but twice, ultimately lost to the Brewers. I also think it's sad that, by the end of last night's Nats game, I was more interested in watching the virtual base runners for Detroit under the jumbotron than I was watching the live "baseball" in front of me. But, it was Jackie Robinson day, and I was taught at an early age about Jackie Robinson by my father, the sports buff and American history buff. I have nothing but sheer reverence for him, and I got a little teary when they unveiled the 42 in the outfield.
