Four childrens' bodies found in SE DC House. These kids definitely fell through the cracks. The neighborhood pinged for me because the defendant in my jury duty case grew up there (and was there the day of the assault he was on trial for). Also, I think Ferbee Hope is nearby. Yeah, there's Barnaby Road.
Is any of this fixable? These kids are caught in a vicious cycle--I feel like if you can't get children opportunities while they're children, their road into adulthood is going to be difficult, if not desperate.
