So I got meself a
new mp3 player* that I really like, a 60GB
Toshiba Gigabeat S60. It was only $240 when I bought it ($10 cheaper than an 8GB iPod nano), and thanks to
Amazon's secret price-matching it only ended up being $220 for me when the price dropped a week later. (Shortly after that, Amazon stopped selling it themselves; now they just have it through partner vendors.)
It's kinda funny though, I sort of like certain aspects of
my old mp3 player* better... the
old Sony has an interface that is at times more intuitive (maybe just because I've used Sony stuff all my life), and the sound quality does seem to be noticably better on the Sony than on the new Toshiba. Most notably, the Sony has an insanely longer-lasting removable battery; I bought an extra battery for it, so I can swap batteries and go like 40 hours of playback without recharging the thing.
I sortakinda really want this case for it. It's sortakinda way too expensive though... >.<

In other tech pr0n news, I think I will get this as my next phone, provided the specs are ok, I like it in person, and it's released anytime soon/this year in the United States:
It's basically just like the
Cingular 8525 I want, only not as brick/weapon-like, with better specs, and with a heavy dose of hotness. (especially compared to the 8525)
