Previous Parts:
Part 1.1 The two of them, finding the backstage room quickly, plopped down on a couple of crappy metal fold-up chairs. Their band mates bustled about, getting things ready, wandering, talking amongst each other. Three bands were performing that night which meant that about 12-15 guys, their managers and staff-if they had any, were all shoved into this room and the adjoining room, both of which were as unglamorous as possible with white washed walls made of the kind of material one could easily punch a hole into.
“So, you really haven’t talked to anybody?” Aoi asked, folding his arms and rested his legs on the “vanity counter” which was really just a slab a wood that wrapped all the way around the room and had above it a continuous stream of mirrors. As they spoke, several guys were putting their make-up on.
Ruki shook his head no. “Well, I tried calling people a couple of times but the only person I could manage to speak to was Kai.”
“Reita didn’t call you?” Aoi couldn’t believe it. He could have sworn that during one of their last discussions, Reita was talking about how his whole goal in life was to find Ruki. Well, he didn’t put it that way but that was what it essentially was.
Ruki looked down, reluctant.
“Err…did I strike a wrong chord?” Aoi asked apologetically.
“No, I think he tried calling a lot of times but my parents never let any calls through,” he sighed. “And then we moved the following year. It was bad.”
Aoi shook his head in disbelief. “Some fucking parents you got there.”
“Wait. I think I did talk to Uruha once but like I said, my parents always gave me shit about making calls.”
“Oh yeah?”
“We didn’t talk much. I just remember him asking me a bunch of questions about you and since no one heard anything from you, he got really quiet and depressed,” he sighed. “So, that call didn’t last too long.”
Aoi felt strange sense of guilt listening to Ruki’s account. “Well,” he said trying to shake the feeling off. “Me and my mother had some rough times. We moved to Hokkaido for a little bit.”
“Hokkaido?”
“Yeah, she wanted to get away. Start anew. You know what I mean?”
“Yeah,” Ruki nodded. “How is she?”
“Alright. She’s staying at the moment with a couple of friends, all former prostitutes.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah, they are like delinquent kids. They stick together,” and realizing the irony in his statement added “when they can.”
Ruki didn’t say anything. Seeing Aoi and hearing him say that gave him a strange feeling. Time had gone by so quickly, so fast that he hardly realized it. There was always something-a new fight, a new argument, running away for a couple of days, staying in his friend’s basement, coming back-there was just so much. I guess people say that it seemed like only yesterday, he thought but that really wasn’t the case. Thinking about it now, if felt like a long time ago. In the back of his mind, he always intended to find his friends but it just seemed like he never had a chance to just stop and breathe and think. Besides, he wondered, if they still cared to see him.
Aoi sat there looking at Ruki’s face immersed in the shadow of his cute cowboy hat. He seemed to be thinking of something intensely. Expressions came and went, most of them shades of confusion or sadness. Aoi wanted to ask about Fuwa or what he talked to Kai about but he wasn’t sure if he should broach the subject.
“Ruki, have you seen my make-up case?” a lofty voice suddenly asked. Both of them turned to look. So, this must be Gabriel Aoi thought. He stood there from his tall height looking down at little Ruki, his long thick black hair permed and flowing gracefully past his shoulders. It was needless to say that he was impossibly thin and this made him appear even taller than he already was. His handsome jaw and high cheekbones gave his face the sort of striking splendor of gorgeousness characteristic of an old movie star. He pursed his full lips as he waited for a response, looking ridiculously good-looking and obnoxious all at the same time.
Aoi was in disbelief. Koji was right for once. He really was a sex-god.
“No,” was all Ruki said before dragging his eyes back to Aoi. Seeing his friend staring up at Gabriel in shock, wonder and what looked a bit like lust, a sick feeling came up from his gut and crept up into the back of his throat, making him want to gag.
“You can use mine,” Aoi suggested.
Gabriel hearing him speak moved his eyes slowly to Aoi’s face. His head tilted slightly as he regarded him, remembering him from somewhere else. Ruki was shocked to find that instead of expressing great disdain for yet another mere mortal, Gabriel said favorably, “If you don’t mind” with a hint of favor and flirtation.
Ruki shot a look at his band mate, the way one quickly withdraws a hidden pistol and discharges. It is rather trite, but if looks could kill, Gabriel would be at that moment gracing the dirty concrete floor with his handsome well-proportioned corpse.
“I’ll be right back,” Aoi said quickly getting to his feet. He smiled at Gabriel and patting Ruki on the shoulder, went off to go find his case with the rest of his band’s cargo.
Once the door shut behind him, Ruki narrowed his eyes at Gabriel.
“What?” he said in response.
“What are your plans Ichiro?” he said between his teeth.
“It’s Gabriel for one,” he said lifting up his beautiful long finger and pointing it down at Ruki’s round face. He was getting irritated with Ruki disrespecting him. As far as Gabriel was concerned-as well the rest of the band and many of their fans, the main attraction of Madie=Anubis was Gabriel, his hollow ghostly voice and his beauty that rivaled the likes of the great Sakurai Astushi. Ruki just came up with a couple of melodies. People wanted to see Gabriel, listen to his songs of dark, morbid lust in which beautiful Caucasian maidens fell madly in love with him, only for them to kill themselves in beautiful, romantic, heart-wrenching suicide when they realized that Gabriel was beyond their mortal, pale grasp-
“What is number 2?” Ruki asked impatiently. Even though this was supposed to be Gabriel telling Ruki off, he could tell that Gabe was getting lost in thought. That or just lost a thought. Either one.
“I, Gabriel AM the main attraction of Madie=Anubis, right?” he turned and asked one of their other members, a guitarist by the name of Lucy who was quietly standing near the mirrors applying his own make-up.
Shocked that Gabriel even noticed that he was there, Lucy just stood there in fear of not really knowing what to do. Looking through the mirror, he just stared at him.
“Tell the truth Lucy,” Gabe ordered.
Lucy with his blue eyeliner in hand, merely nodded yes.
“So, don’t get smart with me, Ruki. I carry you.”
“Carry me?!” Ruki couldn’t believe it. He wrote most of the fucking songs-all the good ones at least. If they didn’t have Gabe’s stupid ass droney voice bellowing out dumbass lyrics, the songs would have been great.
“Yeah, you ugly midget,” Gabriel spat.
“Say what you want Ichiro you stupid dick but what do you want with Aoi?”
“He’s attractive and we could use a second guitarist,” Gabriel said simply not bothering with this stupid twat’s insults.
“But I am the second guitarist,” Lucy said turning around.
“Oh, Lucy, I mean, you will be lead and we can kick out Tomi,” he said calming him down.
“Oh…” he said satisfied before going back to applying his make-up.
Hearing that, Ruki had mixed emotions. For one, it was painful to ever like anything that came out of Gabriel’s perfectly shaped, stupid fucking mouth but for two, it was cruel to just kick Tomi out of the band. Sure, him and Ruki weren’t very close-Tomi was just another Gabriel fanboy but it just seemed so cruel. But then again, Gabe was talking about recruiting Aoi into Madie=Anubis. The idea that he would actually be with someone that he legitimately liked was an appealing prospect.
Thinking it through, he just stared at the obnoxious vocalist’s face, weighing his options. Gabriel could tell that Ruki was going to give in.
“Back,” Aoi said with a smirk, his make-up case in hand.
Giving Ruki a mischievous smile, Gabriel looked at Aoi and turning on all his charm said “Why don’t you show me that in the bathroom where we can talk about it without all these people around?”
Ruki had to admit that even though he wanted Gabe to succeed, the way he was going about it was a bit disgusting. He wondered if he could tell that Aoi was homosexual or if he just assumed that no human being could possibly not want him.
Aoi couldn’t believe it. He stared at Gabriel’s ridiculously handsome face, stunned. Was he dreaming? Was this god of man really coming on to him? “Sure,” he said thickly.
Gabriel beckoning him with his finger led the way to the backstage bathroom. It was one of those public kind-the shitty ones one finds in buildings like the police station, run down libraries or box-stores. It had three stalls, each with a shotty green paint job that spilled out onto the adjoining walls. There was one old sink and a rusty looking mirror that had graffiti scratched onto its surface. Even if they wanted to talk make-up, there was no way they were going to be able to use that mirror.
“I’m Gabriel by the way,” he said with much flourish, extending his long beautiful hand.
“Aoi,” wiping his hand on his pants, he quickly grabbed his and shook it with much more enthusiasm than he wanted. He dropped it and bit at his lip ring embarrassedly. Idiot, he said to himself.
Of course, Gabriel expected such behavior. Aoi wasn’t used to him. He could understand.
“I was wondering…” Gabe said, throwing his eyes backwards so that Aoi could see just how long his eyelashes naturally were. “How do you like the band that you are in…you are a guitarist am I right?”
“Yeah, how did you know?” Aoi laughed, giddy.
“I think I saw you once…at another show. You really do know how to move on stage,” he smiled. Aoi could feel his mouth go dry. “It’s very…how would you say…sexy?” he let out a flirtatious laugh.
“Sexy?” Aoi’s jaw dropped. “Why…thank you,” he rubbed the back of his neck.
“Well, we could always use more sexy in our band, you know…”
“I thought you would be enough…”
Gabriel extremely pleased with that comment, smiled widely. He knew that he was going to really like Aoi.
“Well, Aoi,” he said, enunciating each vowel in his name slowly. He moved in closer to him. “What do you think about Madie=Anubis?”
Even though Gabriel was coming on hard-and Aoi was becoming immensely aroused by his closeness, he couldn’t help but think that in his lusty voice and in this context, the name of the band seemed even more ridiculous and he brought him back to reality.
“I’ve never heard your music,” he responded, the words coming out of him slowly.
“That’s unfortunate,” Gabe said, so close now that their noses were touching, slightly.
“But…I have heard great things about you,” he smiled.
“Is that so?” Gabe whispered, rubbing his hand against Aoi’s developing erection.
“Mmmm…” Aoi moaned and pressed himself against him. “But I think I need more convincing,” he smiled devilishly. He wasn’t going to let himself be starstruck by Gabriel’s immaculate presence. Aoi knew the game and he could tell what Gabriel wanted to steal him from his band by flirting with him but Aoi wasn’t going to let him off that easy. He wasn’t going to let himself be teased and given no reward.
“I can be very convincing,” he giggled.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah…” Gabriel moved in and kissed him deeply, snaking his long wet tongue into his mouth. His hands began to work at Aoi’s pants, undoing the button and pulling down the zipper. Aoi kissed him back-the type of kiss that is void of any feeling or sentiment. There was just pure sexual attraction between them, nothing else but because this was the only thing, it fueled their interaction.
Pulling out Aoi’s dick, Gabriel got on his knees and holding it with his hand, looked up at Aoi’s smirking face and licked his testicles all the way down its length to his head before completely engulfing Aoi’s penis in his mouth. He closed his eyes, as Gabriel sucked him off quickly and aggressively.
Pulling at Gabe’s hair, he ordered “stand up” and Gabe listening got to his feet and knowing exactly what Aoi wanted, put his hands on the sink and spread his legs. Without wasting anytime, Aoi pushed himself inside of him and began fucking him forcefully. Pushed repeatedly by his assertions, Gabriel gripped at the edge of the dirty old sink, his hands making a smudging sound back and forth as he pushed himself inside of him aggressively.
“Does it hurt?” Aoi asked.
“Yes.”
“Good,” he said evilly as he fucked him harder, closer and closer to shooting inside of him. When he finally came, he grabbed Gabriel by his hair and pushed him against the filthy wall. Getting down on his own knees, he put his dick into his mouth. Gabriel moaned dramatically. If Aoi was less of a pervert, he would have been completely turned off by him but instead, it only made him dislike him even more which in turn, made him more violent. He didn’t bother to avoid hurting him with his teeth as he sucked him off.
“I’m sorry. Is it okay to use the bathroom?” A familiar voice tentatively asked.
Aoi stopped, shocked that someone had walked in. But once he realized who it was, he wasn’t sure if he was imagining that it was his voice or not.
“Fuck off,” Gabriel said with shockingly immense disdain.
Aoi still on his knees, turned around to see that it was indeed Uruha, standing in the doorway with his hands behind his back, his shoulders in his characteristic hunch. Three bands were supposed to play there that in evening-one of which was his. His brown hair was tied in two pigtails and he was wearing black shorts and a glittery black tank top. His pretty face was already adorned with make-up, this time however it was wonderfully charming.
Uruha was staring at the floor, embarrassed that he had walked in on two men having sex.
“Get out,” Gabe said with this same anger.
Uruha looked up and seeing that it was Aoi stood there, glued to the floor in shock. “Aoi?” he said in a semi-whisper.
“You know him?” Gabriel stepped to the side to put himself back together.
Aoi following his lead, stood up and put himself back into his pants and zipped them up. “Hey, how’s it going?” Aoi asked, stupidly.
“I’m okay. How are you?” Uruha responded. He looked like a pretty doe in the headlights. For the last three months, he had been praying that he would run into Aoi, anywhere. He even checked the phonebooks and called all the Shiroyamas and the Naganos but was met with no success. He didn’t think that his wish would be answered like this.
“Okay,” he nodded, wiping his mouth.
“Uruha, get of here,” Gabriel growled. “Me and Aoi were having a meeting.”
“I barely know you. Why are you so mean to me?” Uruha tilted his head and looked at him. They had only met once but ever since Gabriel had laid eyes on him, he hated him with an immense passion and he couldn’t quite figure out why.
“We are having a meeting,” he reiterated.
“A meeting?” he stared at him blankly.
“Yeah, you fucking retard.”
“Hey, be nice,” Aoi said turning to Gabriel.
“I’m not retarded; I’m just realizing that you are exchanging sex for something,” he responded honestly.
Aoi laughed. Uruha hadn’t really changed all that much. He was still brutally blunt.
“You think the way he is talking to me is funny?” Gabriel asked Aoi, using the same condescending tone that he spoke to Ruki with.
Uruha was still terribly shocked by everything. He wanted to tell Aoi that he missed him and that they should be friends and so many other things but at the same time, he couldn’t quite get over the idea that he just walked in on his childhood sweetheart giving a blowjob in the back of some shitty venue that sold beer at a higher price than their tickets. “I am going to go see if there is another bathroom,” he said, still stunned. He turned around sharply and walked out before Aoi could say anything to him-not that he had the nerve.
“God, I hate that imbecile,” Gabriel said walking over to the sink and turning on the faucet to wash his handsome face.
“Why? How can anyone hate him?” Aoi said still staring at the door.
“Excuse me?” Gabriel laughed obnoxiously.
“Sure he’s awkward and weird but he’s gentle and sincere.” It was finally sinking in that he had just seen him once more. Sure, in a horrible way but it didn’t matter. He’d seen him and he’s out there and he’s going to be out there the whole night and Aoi is going to be able watch him, talk to him, be near him. Uruha. Uruha. Uruha. Wow, he couldn’t believe his luck. First Ruki and now this.
“You sound like you are in love with him-which I might say is preposterous,” Gabriel rolled his eyes and turned around to look at Aoi. “Who cares about doe face anyhow, are you interested in Madie=Anubis or not?”
Smiling widely now, he turned and looked at Gabriel and said “As long as Ruki is in the band, I’m interested,” pissing Gabe off once more.
[A/N: I am posting this sooner than expected! Well, I've been telling people that I would post when I got to certain page length but since I haven't in 2 days, I felt a bit guilty so I decided to the post the first part. This chapter is longer because I wanted to make sure you all started off with a bang! Hopefully this intrigues you. I'm a bit nervous about how you all will receive this fic. Naturally, it's different than Miseinen.]
