In Open Chapters, I decided to have Amita engaged to a cop. I could have sworn that I had said his name was Don, cause I was toying with the idea of a crossover between Numb3rs and CSI:NY. I’ve long since cooled on this idea (but don’t be shocked if it does pop up someday), but somehow just couldn’t break away from the idea of calling his guy Don. Unfortunately, the Don currently in Amita’s life is nothing like the Don she knew on the left coast.

A word about Princeton from someone from New Jersey: You can’t get there from here. There is no decent, easy way into Princeton from anywhere in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, so it really wouldn’t matter if you flew into Newark or Philly. By the time you get to or from Princeton, you are annoyed and ready to snap. And, it isn’t even the hardest city in Jersey to get to!

I know he's an OMC, but it still raised my hackles to read 'Don' like that.

Plus I have that whole Don/Amita squick going on. Hehehe

But yay for more conflict! Always a nice jolt for a series...

Ah! And the reason I called him Don is clear. (Wait till you hear his last name!)

*shudder* I don't do Don/Amita... but then I hate Amita, so...

Oh, with fierce, cocky, smug, and attitude coming up there will be a jolt.

*cackles*

Thanks, it is supposed to be freaky. Help is on the way.

Yeah, Princeton sucks in the whole accessablity way.

Love Philly airport 1000% more than Newark!

Why not have Larry repeat his sledgehammer experiment either sans cinder block or without aiming?

Damn you! I actually feel sorry for Amita. Iffen the name 'Don' is bothersome - mebbe change it to Dan?

LOL! I like the sledgehammer idea!

I'm not sure you will by the end of the arc.

Nope, his name needs to be Don for the freak factor.

Even though I read OMC (Don), I was still confused ... Perhaps give some detail about him that isn't Don Eppes - hair color, job, build, etc? Otherwise, good tension.

Ah, but then I wouldn't have confused you and that was a part of the plan. I wanted you to go, "Huh? What? Don?" And Amita is rather mixed/messed up, so some of those details are even more confusing.

Glad you liked the tension.

I couldn't help but smile at "it's cheaper to fly to Philadelphia." I live very close to EWR (maybe 15 miles and an easy trip by car) but when my sister comes to visit I tell her to fly into LaGuardia because it's cheaper!

Your grammar needs a little fixing, but I like the overall tone of the fic.

Was a travel agent in a past life and I always found it amazing how going one airport over could make a huge price dif.

Yeah, nearly 200 drabbles into this series and the grammar tends to slip occasionally.
