I know that the celebration fic was supposed to be fun, but I’m in an angst mood still. I did think the idea of looking at it by the ‘numbers’ was very Millie.

A few small notes. One, to make this work time wise, I had to make Millie just slightly older than Kathy Najimy. Kathy just turned 50, but I figure that Millie was already 50 when we met her and since this series has fast-forwarded to 2010 that means she’s about 54/5-ish. (Well, come on, it’s not like TPTB don’t play fast and loose with the ages as is. Alan’s only supposed to be 60-ish and Don and Charlie are only 5 years apart. Yeah, sure!)

Two, Maureen is so named because of Maureen Gaffney, who is Kathy’s occasional writing and performing partner. They are truly hysterical together.

Three, I chose San Diego cause that is where Kathy is from. (What? You think I know a little about her? Nah, it’s not like I TiVo’ed the repeat of the episode of Family Feud she was on with her family back in the 70’s or anything. *hides burned DVD*)

Four, so the name coming from a quote about mistakes is kinda harsh, but it just struck a cord. And, yes, Anne of Green Gables is my favorite book of all time, but I guessed on the page number!

First off, I just wanted to say I love that someone other than me does these long author notes posts. I love hearing about the thoughts behind the stories, so thank you. What you call it is up to you, but I always thought the term Author Notes was rather dull and uninviting.

I love this installment. It works very well and drew me in. I went past wibble on this and near on to teary.

Only one part threw me. She had told Megan her daughter was born at six something in the morning yet here she wakes up at home in the morning and is holding her dead infant in the evening? I don't think they would let her hold her all day. Just threw me out of the fic for a minute and I figured you might not intend that.

And the end? So Alan. He is such a thoughtful and caring man. You write him so well even when he doesn't say a word.

Wonderful...

I'm so glad that you don't mind me 'borrowing' the idea! I usually have so many things I want to say about a fic, but just don't want to bog down the top. I loved the idea of adding a comment with all those little things.

Ah, I'm so glad you liked it!! A near teary, Emma is something. *hands tissues and cookies*

Duh!! I forgot I put AM. I shall change that to PM, so this works better. I posted them together, but they were written nearly 2 weeks apart. And, I'm terrible about re-reading my own stories!

Aw, thank you!!! I love Alan... esp after this weeks episode. And I just think there is something about Millie and Alan. They are kinda cute together. (My secret to writting Alan is I think would my Dad have done that? If I say yes, then Alan does it.)
