Well, the day finally came. I have entered the future...today, yes I got a cell phone. Will I use it? Probably not. But, at least I can say that I have one. And it has a flashlight, so there's something useful. Am I departing the '50s? Not quite. Any decent American of that era would have jumped at the opportunity to experience new technology. I'm just a bit late. I was wicked proud of myself since I was able to figure out how to program in numbers, and then Katie Girard figured out how to do it in two seconds and I felt like a technological dunce again.
In other news my replacement troops ribbon is now missing from my car. I don't understand why someone would steal those. It's mind boggling.
And, Tom Brokaw has retired. Did America really care as much as NBC is saying we did? Cause I didn't feel a thing.
