Inbetween breaks of sessions. hotmail isn't working!!! Last night had dinner at the space needle, the view was fantastic from the sky restaurant while the view from the tip top wasn't so hot -- at least for taking picutures; view blocked from fencing. Dinner was a huge slab of meat (I forget the fancy name) -- beef which I think gave me a slighly upset stocmach. The wine tasting was ok. Presented by the same wine guy from last year in Philly. We had two different wines from the Reynold's house -- shiraz and I foreget the other. Finished off with a deflight Montevina Zin. Port. Hmmmm, I love port.

{Sat next to this Canadian eeconomic strategist for an International fund -- on the private banking side you have to have $100MM to get in the door; the clients he describes working with say things like "Let's diversify into energy." So the firm figures out what oil drilling businesses (whether it's shipping or wells) to buy. Wild. David is quite bright and has the global econmic picture at his finger tips; ways inflation will rise in early 2006. I now understand pricing mechanism of why natural gas companies can reaise their prices so quickly (let's all hope for a warm winter) as prices are expected over 70%}
Just heard Malcolm Gladwell speak on people being social connectors -- the notion that the skill of being connected and being able to simplify complex decision making/world can and will be a huge asset for success; entertaining, and animated, and this guy's hair is really wild, almost afro type. He writes for the New Yorker and had a great piece at end of Aug. on healthcare (or lack thereof) in the US.
Seattle is fantastic so far -- great weather, the bay and the views are awesome. Taking pics, naturally.
