I occasionally have these really daft ideas for movies partially based on what amount to in-jokes.
One would involve someone drifting between a multitude of alternate realities, distinguishable by the viewer in that in each one a different contestant won Rock Star: INXS. This would give me an excuse to have Jessica Robinson (not the country singer*) sing with INXS in the background of a scene at a club. Then the protagonist goes into the restroom & comes out again; the band is still playing, fronted by Deanna Johnston.
*Though now I think of it, getting the country singer Jessica Robinson to sing with INXS could be even more amusingly surreal.
