The ARIAs - Spittin' Chipz!!!!
First let me just say this.. It's a sorry year for the ARIAs when Jet sweep the awards.. and probably actually deserve to.
Secondly, my major peeve of the night:
John Butler Trio were nominated for BEST GROUP and John Butler was nominated for BEST MALE ARTIST which he won!!! Now, correct me if I'm wrong but everything he has released this year has been under the name JOHN BUTLER TRIO, which is A GROUP. There has been no solo side project releases. So WHY does he get double the nominations? Why is he the only man in the country who gets to be a GROUP and MALE ARTIST? Just because his name is in the band's title?? Well why not nominate the singer from Powderfinger for best male artist? Or Pete Murray for best group, after all he has a band!?!?!? I AM SO ANNOYED!!!! First, everyone loves this guy because he sings like Eddie Vedder, and NOW he's gettin' double the nominations! This is almost as dumb as last year when Powderfinger won BEST ALBUM but lost BEST ROCK ALBUM!?!?!? Ok, so it's the greatest album of the entire year in any genre... but it's not the best album in it's genre. WHAT THE? ARRGHHH the ARIAS are soooooo dumb.
Plus, Rove IS NOT FUNNY. No one is laughing. So why is he still hosting the thing? He has nothing to do with music ANYWAY. All the interviews he did flopped too. Molly Meldrum would've put him to shame.
