It's a good year for movies. I was just saying to someone the other day, how much I love new movies. Everyone, myself included, loves classic films, but I think every year brings more great movies then any year before.
They JUST put out a trailer for 'Sunshine'. It's everything I'd hoped for. Even the trailer brought tears to my eyes. I'm crushed to think I'll be in Iraq when it plays in theatres.
There's a new Hannibal Lecter movie opening next month, so is Black Snake Moan (hardly seen such good reviews). 300 (aka the coolest movie ever made) comes out the month after that. In May is Spiderman 3, in June Fantastic Four 2 comes out (better the the original, i promise) in July it's Transformers (all of which I will miss, tragically. (send them to me on dvd....) Simpsons movie, the first of the four futurama movies, Curse of the Golden Flower (new Zhang Yimou!) Die Hard 4, Rambo 4 all this year. Indy 4 and Speed Racer next year. Truely, we are blessed.
Also I just watched Crank, I'm about to watch Children of Men. (movies from last year, but still, both great flicks, in very different ways)
