Onision, Shiloh, and the whole 'She Forgot Me' Debacle....
Okay, so this will be a public post, one of a few I should feel happy enough to share.
So if you don't know who Onision is on youtube, that's probably a good thing, that said, Onision is a 26 year old youtube 'personality' and partner who has a fairly large viewership, he's in the top 100 subscribed entering in at 96 as at 27th June 2011.
That said, I used to watch Onision, I used to enjoy his outrageous crazy behavior and his silly collaborations with other users. Recently he started involving his currently 18 girlfriend Shiloh, someone who's got an existing career in the music industry who for the most part appears to have dropped the face off the planet.
In the last week, Onision started another youtube drama fest by posting up a video of his girlfriend apparently going through some kind of episode, eyes rolling back, flapping arms, talking like a child. According to Onision Shiloh has forgotten 3 years of her life.

Whoa roll it back there... did you notice a few things? I'll break it down.
Onision is a Youtube partner, now, what that means is he can choose to draw revenue on the videos he makes, the way he does this is by allowing youtube to plaster ads on his page. So first of all, you're paying Onision for to view his girlfriend that he apparently holds above all having a serious medical condition.
Also notice how this video has been carefully edited? He's inserted his classical "I'm reaching out to my audience with a pout" Interlude to make us truly understand how serious this video is, he's even inserted some depressing music.
There's something inherently creepy about this conduct, where does one draw the conclusion "oh crap my partner is undergoing some sort of horrific mental issue, lets get out the camcorder and post it on my youtube".
So the more rational of thought on Onision and Shiloh's channels are torn between :
A) He and Shiloh are bullshitting their fans, which is a hideous thing to do, making fun of a serious medical condition is disgraceful
B) Shiloh has indeed suffered memory loss, and should seek medical consult.
Now according to Onision, Shiloh had given him permission to film the whole thing, and had refused medical assistance.
She forgot who he was, but gave him permission to film her, and rejected medical assistance. What?
Onision then goes on to ask for advice in his video.
Here's some things to note about all of Onision's videos related to this:
- All comments are screened, and the only comments Onision allows are positive ones, you can see evidence that people do not agree in the Like/Dislike statistics
- Onision puts up a poll asking whether he should force Shiloh to go to hospital, it's worded in such a way that anyone disagreeing with him is automatically an asshole. Classic.

Shiloh also runs to his defence how she doesnt want to go to hospital, and how she's sick of the part of her audience, I'm not going to bother linking any more videos.
I joined the exodus of the fed up, and unsubscribed.
It appears many are doing the same.
Onision appears to be nothing more than an exploitative asshole, with little regard for the health and well being of his girlfriend, anyone who disagrees with him is "ignorant", "trollling", or "hater".
The sad thing is, if Shiloh actually died, you can bet Onision would post up a video sobbing about her, with ads to gain revenue of course.
The last question is, where are shiloh's the parents and her record label involved in all this? Well it seems that their lack of interest or involvement would lead most of the youtube community to believe this is a fake.
