The Not so Good Truth

Apr 18, 2007 20:30

One of the member of the Rho Chapter of my sorority at Virginia Tech is among the dead.  As president of my school's chapter, I've gotten all the emails about it.  It was heart wrenching to hear from the sisters there how they were looking for her.  They went to all the area hospitals, found her car in the parking lot, called her parents.  They are grieving there as if they had lost a true blood sister.

That's how sisterhood works.  Or at least is supposed to.  It puts things in a different perspective.  I've been struggling with how to explain, how to show my fellow sisters what exactly the meaning of sisterhood is.  I don't know if the same thought has sunk in with them, but it sure did with me.
