Title: Dancing
Rating: PG
Pairing: Neville/Lavender, eventually
author's note: inspired by the prompt "Always" from charma-10 and the song "You! Me! Dancing!" by Los Campesinos!

“Lavender, I don’t think I’m enjoying this,” Neville said, his arm extended and his body twisted away from Lavender as she spun him for the third time.

“Neville, you can't quit now. You agreed to be my guinea pig for my couple’s therapy sessions,” Lavender replied as she pulled Neville back in and continued to sway to the music.

“Yes, but I didn’t think that dancing would be a part of it.”

“Some couples have a hard time giving and receiving physical touch. Dance can be helpful for these couples.”

“What if they’re bad at it though?”

“What? Touching? How could anyone be bad at that?”

“No,” Neville groaned, feeling more than a little awkward talking about touch with Lavender. If there was anyone who didn’t have a problem with touch it was Lavender. She was constantly hugging, placing her hand on friend’s shoulders, arms. Greeting people with kisses on the cheek or patting them on the back when they were leaving. It had taken him quite a bit of time before he got used to it. “I meant dancing. What if they’re bad at dancing?”

“Don’t worry about that, Neville. It’s fun,” she said excitedly as she spun him out again.
