alright, so I dont normally comment on stuff.......but, let's all face it, some of you have a problem with hot topic and some of you don't. as some of you may know, we did a photo shoot for hot topic. I personally think the pictures turned out horrible, but oh well, I really don't care. let me fill you in on how I look at it. Hot Topic is cool in a way and totally gay in a way. I mean, I'm not gonna stand here and tell you I think those fishnet, well, they have fishnet everything now a days, but yah, I'm not gonna sit here and tell you I like all that bullshit leather and rubber crap and all the "I got voices in my head" t-shirts, but I'm not gonna tell you I hate the store either. Their an outlet for music and it's an outlet a lot of you kids use every time you buy music. Plus, they are getting with it........they sell shirts for good bands now and I totally think us doing a photo shoot for them was funny and interesting. If anyone wants to go as far as saying we are sell outs or saying that they don't like us anymore for doing it, than they never really liked our music in the first place, they were just there because we were the cool small band. I'm not trying to say were huge now or anything, because were not at all, but for some reason some of you kids are too damn stubborn for your own good. and the second a band does something that isn't cool and indie cred style then you turn them away. you gotta understand, a band can't grow if they dont try and take over certain mediums. when we took that photo it meant our faces and therefore, our music would be displayed on hot topic.com......a website that brings in millions of kids. HEY! wouldn't it be great if all those kids buying disturbed records and buying jnco pants heard us and bought our record, then maybe bought an every time i die record, then maybe a coheed record, then they might never ever buy a disturbed record again?? wouldn't that be something??? listen, It just makes me sad to see when kids try too hard to be cool And it makes me so happy to hear kids saying it doesn't fucking matter and hearing kids understand that its just another place to spread the word of ASL, just like plastering posters on a building in NYC or passing out fliers at a show in Iowa. It's just another way to spread the word. If your all bent about it, try and get over it, there's a lot of fun in store for this band and their fans, friends and family. so thanks to everyone who supports us no matter what.. Let's just remember, all that matters is us and our fans......no one else.
