(no subject)
Yesterday, my computer stopped booting.
The hard disc now only makes the kind of sound a DVD drive makes when you put an unreadable media inside...
Which really sounds a lot like a physical defect, against which I'm pretty much powerless (I do think I can deal with pretty much any virus or worm)...
I haven't checked, but I'm fairly sure it's less than a year old. WTF. Probably still have maker warranty on it (which I got after having a physical defect on the last one), so that's not the problem but... I haven't backupped in a while. Meaning that apart from the stuff that's on my flickr, all my photos from the past year are most likely GONE.
I can't think of a lot of things more frustrating than this... ._.
