Yes, it's silly meme time again. Today I'm stealing from
aikinut The rules:
- Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
- Put it on shuffle
- Press play
- For every question, type the song that's playing
- When you go to a new question, press the next button
- Don't lie.
And thanks to the wonders of
daemon-based music players and text-based clients, I can even do this while at work.
- Opening Credits: "Friends Beats", by The Murderers of Cross Over, off the "F.F. Mix" album (which was a set of remixed songs from Final Fantasy soundtracks; this song was a remixed version of "Dear Friends" from Final Fantasy V).
- Birth: "Mera Man Tera Pyasa" ("My Mind is Thirsty for You"), from the Bollywood musical "Johny Mera Naam" ("My Name's Johny").
- First Day At School: "Goodnight", from Final Fantasy IX (yes, the short bit of music the game plays when you sleep at an inn).
- Falling in Love: "Dum Estas Inchoatur", by The New World Renaissance Band. (This was off a CD of ray_'s, and since I'm at work, I forget how it goes.)
- Fight Song: "New York Rush", from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack "Blue".
- Breaking Up: "Pizza Time!", by virt. (See virt's chiptunes page, though I got the mp3 from Monotonik.)
- Prom: "Hip Bop", by Victor Wooten
- Life: "Soryaamou, genkidakenara shikinmo kakarimasenshixi...." ("Indeed, I need no funds to make it cheerful..."), from the first Excel Saga soundtrack.
- Mental Breakdown: "Super Spy Hunter", by saskrotch.
- Driving: "Our Dream", from the second Oh My Goddess soundtrack.
- Flashback: "The Hardest Part", by Blondie.
- Wedding: "Mushroom Hunting", from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack "Blue". (Interesting wedding...)
- Birth Of Child: "Think of Me", from "The Phantom of the Opera".
- Final Battle: The "triumph" music from Iron Chef. (Okay, most of these have tenuous connections at best, but this pairing is great.)
- Death Scene: "Pygmalism", by Momus.
- Funeral: "We're Pirates!", From Final Fantasy V.
- Ending Credits: "You Are Smart", from Katamari Damacy.
I do seem to have a lot of anime/video game soundtracks... I promise there's a lot of other stuff in there, too; I have 25GB of music, and only 9GB is Soundtracks. :)
