"Gil's All Fright Diner" by A Lee Martinez
Another good one, and this is only the first! The next one ("In The Company Of Ogres") isn't a sequel, but the sneak-peek at the back already has me drooling for more; the third is on its way.
This one is about Duke, the werewolf, and Earl, the vampire, who stop at "Gil's All Night Diner" to refuel and find themselves averting an apocalypse. Oh yes, and there's this ghost who falls in love with Earl, and the ghostdog who teams up with Duke...not to mention the assorted zombies, ghouls and sundry supporting cast.
Here's hoping there's time for another outing for this crew once the new book's done and dusted...
