It's been a while!

So, about a month ago I got a reminder in my email from livejournal (:-) and Amanda) that I haven't posted on here in ages. And I've been meaning to post something since I got it, but I'm just now getting around to it. So.. in a few (hopefully) sentences.. this is what I'm up to now! I went around in April and did the whole grad school audition thing, but in the end (for many different reasons and despite some wonderful opportunities) I opted to stay at Ole Miss and work on a masters in music education. It was the hardest decision I've made in a long time, but I'm discovering now that it really was the right one. So now I'm busy with grad classes and an assistantship with the band director. For the most part, I'm really enjoying myself. And it's wonderful to still be in the same town as Chris. And speaking of Chris.. We made 3 years on October 6th. Things are going really well for us. I can't believe we've made it this far. I've decided to go through the RCIA process at St. Johns (the Catholic church in Oxford) to learn more about Catholicism. I'm not totally sure if I'm going to actually become Catholic (I'm still trying to discern God's will for me, as far as that goes), but this is a great way to learn more and it's really good for our relationship. Being Catholic is very important to Chris, and as our relationship has continued to strengthen (and as marraige discussions increase), I've discovered the importance of me going through the RCIA process. Chris never asked me to do it, it was my decision. And it's been amazing what God has shown me so far as a result of this. I'm looking at Christianity from a much more theological and historical standpoint, which is something I really hadn't done much of before. I'm being challenged in my faith in ways that I haven't been before, which is really good. So we'll see what happens! :-) I guess those are the main things going on. I'll try to be a little more consistent with my journal postings again!
