last week, weekend and court

well, it's pretty much been a normal week for me. the crappy guy at work admitted that he's on probation and wanted to know if he could take a leave of absence. let me think.... not a chance. it means that he lied on his application when he said that he had never been convicted of a crime. that's an auto termination.

last week the new shows started up. the shows that i watch are (in order by days): chuck, heroes, journeyman, reaper, bionic woman, and the office.

chuck is surprisingly funny. i would recommend it. it's about a guy that works at a place akin to best buy who gets an email from an old college friend (who happens to be a spy). the email contains pictures that contain information gathered from the CIA and NSA. so he knows a lot of the country's secrets, but can't really recall them on the spot. so, two agents have to protect him so they can use the secrets to stop plots against the country. believe me, it's better than i make it sound. hilarious.

heroes is awesome, of course.

journeyman is better than i expected. it's about a guy who's uncontrollably traveling back through time. each episode he is following on person throughout their life, trying to figure out what he has to do to fix something. it's kinda like quantum leap, except that he goes back to his normal time a lot.

reaper is another surprsingly good show. it's directed by kevin smith and it's about a boy who's mother and father sold their first born's soul to the devil. well, the boy turned 21, and now the devil has come to collect. however, he doesn't want to take the boy to hell (he has enough souls there already, overcrowding). he wants the boy to act as a bounty hunter to catch the souls that are escaping hell.

bionic woman, i'm not too sure about yet. the premier episode was ok, but we'll see how they do tonight. if it's any good, i'll let you know.

ovbiously the office is great. if you haven't seen it, then you live in a cave.

so, "what did i do this weekend" you ask? i mostly stayed at home watching most of the first season of Dexter on showtime on demand. i get it free, so why not. this show too was surprisingly great. i would really recommend you going out and renting the first season (since i'm sure most of you wouldn't get showtime just to watch it). the show is about a guy who is a blood-splatter specialist. he can walk into a room, look at the blood, and tell the cops what happened. average CSI show, right? wrong. this guy is also a serial killer. however, he only kills bad people. so, he has to hide his killings from people so that no one finds out what he does, and he also has to help the cops capture other killers. really great show.

so, yesterday i had to go to court about those two girls i caught shoplifting. when i got there, one of the officers announce that all the victims/witnesses are to sit in one area, and all the defendants are to stand in line. so, i sat.... and sat..... and sat. i saw the two girls come in, wait around for a long while, and finally go into the meeting room. the arresting officer was in there already, so i figured they'd call me in anytime. the girls come out, then head to the court room. arresting officer comes out and leaves. i wait in the area, because i figured that if i went into the court room, they come into the area and call for me, or vice versa. so i just waited. the girls come out about 20 minutes later and leave. i guess there's no more need for me, so i waited another 10 minutes before i left. the only thing i can figure is this: they either pled guilty or they got a continuance. either way, i hope they let us know what's going on. i have to say, their justice system is chaotic and very messed up. nobody knew what the heck was going on. that's the south for you.

other than the above, not much has been going on. hope you all are having a great time
