House moving...

The move actually went okay on Tuesday, so presently we have the fun of trying to arrange the jigsaw so that everything fits in. Poor neurotic kitty was frightened out of his wits for most of Tuesday, hiding in cupboards/bath/anywhere, but he came better once we started assembling the bed and he realised that he would be able to crawl under the doona and hibernate there.

The spare bedroom is incredibly full of books, CDs, DVDs, and a whole lot of other crap, while the downstairs living area is incredibly full of furniture.
We have one surplus fridge, an IKEA-style collapse-able shelving unit, and two trapezoid study tables which we don't want any longer, so I will be posting a message to [choral-chat] type lists to see if someone's in the market for such things as we don't need.

It was so good this morning to get up at 6:30 am, have a relaxed start to the morning, and head into work - all seven and a half minutes that it took to walk in!

The only thing that went wrong in the move was one broken wine glass and the coaxial antenna cable for the telly going missing, so that's pretty damn good in my book. So provided Ruaridh agrees, we'll be suggesting to him to host MUCS coffee next Wednesday night at 22/411 Lygon Street...
