Just wanted to make one thing clear.

First, we had TV. Then we decided that wasn't real enough, and made reality TV. Then we decided that wasn't exciting enough, so we made fictional shows based on reality show premises.

That being said, I'm obsessed with Drive.

i hope you didn't think reality tv = nonfiction

big brother = rigged. and almost every mtv show is totally played up with plenty of line producers stirring up drama (which they have to reenact sometimes for multiple angles).

Big Brother is fairly "real" in its twisted sort of way. At least all the ways producers try to stir shit up is not secret (i.e. it's in the rules of the game)... most of the time at least. In theory you would watch the live feeds 24/7 and see everything that happens, but I can't even handle watching two hours a week or whatever it is.

There's a movie... whose name I forget... about a reality show where the winner is the last person to survive, sort of like Battle Royale except not so cartoonish in its satire. Project Six or something.
