So this weekend New England moved up a couple of notches in my book.
Ellie's birthday party/weekend was the funnest time ever. Her parents are the cutest people in the world and gave me 293048230948 pounds of food to take back up to Montreal. Otherwise we went to Boston where we explored the north end and Leslie got to see the ocean (however, I Couldn't find the Christian Science field that Danielle, Anna and I defiled in high school), and I fell in love with an Australian street performer. The rides up were equally ridiculous and included a stop to the BEN AND JERRY'S FACTORY and DARTMOUTH, as well as the christmas tree shop on the way up, where I acted exactly like they do in the commercial and bought a pillow with cowboys on it for $5.
Also, at Ellie's party this girl told a story that made me cry, but she claims it has a good message about dreams and aspirations.
Once upon a time, there were two peanuts in a shell: a little one and a big one. The big one had big dreams and aspirations to be roasted, salted, and perhaps incorporated into a trail mix, and one day decided the break out of the shell. The small shell was quite content with sitting in the shell, but decided to go with the big peanut to try and be roasted, salted, and perhaps incorporated into a trail mix.
It was a very long and hard journey, but the two peanuts finally make it to the peanut factory (where peanuts are roasted, salted, and perhaps incorporated into a trail mix). They entered the factory and both peanuts were amazed with how big it was. As the big peanut was trying to find out where he should go, a factory worker squashed the small peanut sitting on the floor. The big peanut was saddened by this, but he acheived his dream of being roasted, salted, and perhaps incorporated into a trailmix by jumping on the peanut conveyer belt. The end.
Also, before we left I painted what can only be described as one of the defining paintings of our generation. Pictures of it exist and will be posted once available. Now off to coasters to have $7 pitchers. Ciao.
