This is what I want to say

Sometimes I get so tired that I just can't post about the things that are going on that infuriate me. I can't post about the things that are going wrong, or the frustrations and roadblocks that I'm still running into. That's why all the dog stuff right now.

However, this blog entry by badgerbag is pretty much what I want to say about information sharing and finding people.

To reiterate what I've already written and told my friends: outside of lifesaving food, water, and medical help, there is nothing of greater importance than finding out if your loved ones are OK. Nothing. Just try having every member of your family missing and try picturing the fact that they might all be dead. Trust me, you won't get much done other than look for them and worry. You won't want to move or change location for fear that they're looking for you. Perhaps in "smaller" disasters having people's names and status and location online would be a privacy issue, but in this case it is reprehensible to have that information and withhold it.
