I've been a busy bee

When you've been on livejournal hiatus this long, only a list will do:
  • Took an amazing sewing class.
  • First semester of grad school done & done.
  • Christmas holiday survived, and dare I say, even enjoyed.
  • I'm pretty convinced that NYC is the only place where you'll find people sitting on the floor of a train station eating tacos at 10am on Christmas Eve.
  • I've been lucky enough to fall in with some fantastic friends here in Albany.
  • New Years will be all about Boston with Heather & Jason. I'm freakin' stoked!
  • New Orleans after new years. One week of connecting with amazing women, gutting houses,  & work with acorn. I'm still in denial that it's actually going to happen, but I can't wait.
  • Afterwards, it's just a wee short week of hanging out, tackling my sewing pile, reading frivolous things, and cleaning house, before I roll right into the second semester. School's going to be over before I know it.
  • Books I've read that I'd highly reccomend- The Time Traveller's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger & The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini. Seriously, that's some good stuff right there.
  • Things I've watched that I'd highly reccomend-   Tsunami:The Aftermath & Children of Heaven
Aaaaannndd, that's pretty much my life in a nutshell in the past month or so. Well, that's the short version of it anyway.
