Jess is a brave girl today =D

Today we were on half day leave to bring the children to see the dentist again. The problem being that the little girl have a obviously big cavity to fill.

So it was another mad rush to get our lunch, grab the children from CC, then running down to School Dental Clinic at HPB with the children.

Keith started to whine the minute we reached the place
He sat on the floor and refused to go. In the end, I had to carry both the children into the lift again as he refused to budge from where he was sitting...

Once we reach the clinic (late again
), we proceed to get out queue numbers (luckily I rememebered their appointment cards
) and went in to see the dentist.

As I booked the same time, I had to see to Jess as hers was the more serious case while AA saw to Keith. Jess was her shy self but at first refused to sit on the dental chair.
It wasn't until the dentist spend some time talking to her and giving her a mirror and cool shades that she relented and sat quietly on the chair.

I had to hold her hand at first
, but she sooned warmed to the dentist and listened to what the dentist said. In fact, she quietly let the dentist locate her cavities (there were 3!!!
) washed her teeth, polished them and then filled her biggest cavity. I was at first surprised that the dentist only filled 1, but the dentist told me that since she was so young, so there will be difficulties for her to keep her mouth open for too long.
Thus her advice is to bring her back for more fillings and to monitor her sweets intake for the moment.
Also, she gave Jess the usual mercury amalgam one as these tend to stick better on small teeth. She warned me about the filling coming loose as Jess's teeth are still small, and asked me to bring Jess back immediately if the filling comes loose.

So off Jess went with a new "star" in her mouth
And she was so excited and showed AA her beautiful new "star". We then booked another appointment for next month to fill hopefully the other 2 cavities.

AA then reported to me that Keith was the complete opposite though he finished his checkup earlier. He had cried and screamed and refused to sit in the dentist's chair
and they had to have a quick check. Luckily Keith's teeth had always been healthy and there wasn't any problems. He was given a clean bill of health and asked to come back in one year for another check up

After visiting the dentist, we took the children to see mum again at the nursing home. We were lucky to meet dad and Mrs B there. They were giving mum exercises and we stuck around for a while till mum had her dinner. Keith was the naughty boy as usual and insisted on having mum's neighbour's biscuits and bread
Luckily ah por was very kind and didn't mid at all. In the end, when his demands get too much, AA went out with Jess to buy some bread which Keith devoured (5 slices in one go) while Jess had 3 slices too.

After visiting mum, we went back home. While I looked after them
, AA went off for tuition.
