We took Keith to CC today as BSS was still on holiday today.
AA took a different route and stopped us behind the CC so that he can park the car properly before sending the 2 imps to school. The minute we stopped, Keith started to wail. As I got down the car and released him from his seat, he refused to get up and attempted to get the seat belt back on him (-_-") In the end, AA had to come over to grab him and carry him all the way to CC while I carried Jess, who was puzzled over what all the fuss was.
He cried long and hard till we reached the CC. When the teacher took over, he attempted to escape and grab us tightly, refusing to let go. Teacher had to drag him into the TV room where they were all watching videos. Jess on the other hand, tottered in by herself with C (her best friend) and puzzled at why Keith is making such a fuss. As we left, Keith looked at us and kept screaming and crying *Sigh* Even when we reached the other side of the CC I could still hear him clearly crying his heart out. *Sob*
Hopefully he'll be ok later.
In fact, yesterday was quite tiring for us because the 2 of them were rather high from all the usual break from their CC routine and refused to have their nap. We spend most of the morning trying to get breakfast. We were rudely awaken by the grassroots people making announcements at 8am (it's a holiday leh!) and left for breakfast at our usual Kallang Mac. Unfortunately, it was already all rev up for National Day and we were not allowed to park in the nearby car park even though the car park at Mac's was full.
Piqued, AA left for the one at Turf City, where he thought we could have shop at the Giant for groceries after we had our breakfast. We observed a couple having breakfast just outside the Mac and mistakenly thought that it was opened. It was only when we tried the door that we found that it was closed. The couple informed us that it was closed till 10+ and they had gone to King Albert Park to takeaway their breakfast (O_O)!! Discouraged, we went on to the Mac and Farrer Park (where we know it's open) and had our breakfast there. We then came back to Turf City for some shopping at Giant where we got lots of drinks :D
We got back home for lunch and went to the nearby hawker centre where we tried out the newly opened Japanese stall. It was nice. The Shishamo comes with a nice dip that is both tangy and fresh. The children gobbled up a portion of bee hoon and fishball noodles while AA shared whatever they had. He too agreed that the stall wasn't too bad and we could try it again another day :)
Once home, AA tried to persuade the 2 evils to sleep to no avail. In the end, he gave up and left the door open while we took a nap. It wasn't long before Jess came in and disturbed us, poking at AA and climbing on top of him. AA flew into a rage at the 4th provocation and started to shout at them. The 2 evils immediately rushed to my side and cowered. That was when we discovered that Keith had pooed in his diaper :( After another round of changing and persuasion, with both of them still wide awake, we settled for TV time.
And as we watched TV, we noticed that Keith had fallen asleep on the sofa! Undecided as to whether we should go out for dinner, I thought he would be ok once we go out. We carried the sleepy Keith into the car and proceeded to PP for dinner. Along the way, Jess fell asleep (-_-") When we reached there, we also discovered that Keith had peed in his seat (with no diapers!) and it was dripping wet *Yikes*
Luckily we had extra clothing but AA was at the end of his tether. He started to rave and shout and generally grumbled that we shouldn't have gone out, etc. *Sigh* After we cleaned up the wide awake Keith, we proceeded to MOS with the still asleep Jess in tow. Keith was his usual stubborn self and refused to take a bite from the hamburger at all. It seems that the experience at Carl Jr (where they have mustard in their hamburger) put him off hamburgers permanently. *Sigh*
Anyway, we managed to finish the meal and took them for a short walk in PP before going off home. At around the end of the meal, Jess woke up but refused to have any food. We ended up buying some pretzels for them to eat. Jess was well rested from her nap and was high all the way till we reached home. It was amazingly Keith who fell asleep on the car and slept all the way home till the morning.
Jess was the "high" one and refused to go to bed. We entertained her and AA made her jump on the trampoline, etc before she was worn out enough to sleep. *phews*
In the end, AA decided that if the children did not have their afternoon naps, they would not be allowed out of the house. And I have to agree (-_-")
