So it has been a while......
HAs been a while since i have updated on here....not a big deal im sure, but anyway =)
I just ( friday night) got back from a 4 day camp with students from our school. it is always such a great exp. it is hard to sum it up into words the impact that it has on the kids. it is a leadership/tolerance/many other things camp. The change that is made in the kids in 4 days is amazing. In fact, me and some of the other advisers said that we would put the knowledge that they learn with us in 4 days up against what they learn in school in 180 days any time. The things that we deal with are real world things that will have an impact on them no matter what they do in life. It was so nice to be able to interact with the kids and not have to deal with all the admin crap that happens in school. We were "on" from 6 am till at least 1130 Pm every day and non stop all day. I am more tired coming home from a 8 hr day that I was with the hrs that I put in up there. It is amazing how much bullshit can wear you out. I was glad to have the weekend to recover. It was a pretty low key weekend.
I took Takoda to get a bath on Sunday to one of those self washing places...it was quite the event. he does not stand still in the tub, so trying to wash and rinse him is an event. Needless to say many others got sprayed a few times. The one woman who works there said "you dont have an apron on" I said, that it really didnt matter. The drying room looked like a blizzard hit while i was drying him. When i was finished it looked like I had a full head of hair again LOL. He looks all fuzzy and clean now =)
Starting to gear up for the spring...I will do my "fireplace" cleaning tonight that I do every year this time. Also have a medicine wheel ceremony on the 8th for full moon. Lots going on and many things going on in my head that I need to come to some resolution on.
