The Broken Hearts Club

*L* Okay…this review is going to be shorter than most of mine, primarily because I’ve got so many to do right now, but I my housemates rented this movie last weekend when elizabuffy was visiting…and it was fabulous!

The Broken Hearts Club (hyperlinked) is one of those movies that is just plain great.

The movie is, for those like myself that had never heard ( Read more... )

Wow, sounds great. Not surprising, really; Greg Berlanti's always good. (Big Everwood fan here.) I didn't know about this one. Thanks for the rec and the review.

Let me know if you like it! I'd actually never heard of it before, but my housemates wanted to have a "we love gay men night"...which made EB and I giggle since I'm doubting any of the housemates have read slash or watched gay m/m porn for "research" purposes like we have *L* Actually...judging by how horrified they were at the "soft-core" porn in QAF, I'm REALLY guessing not *grin*

Anyway...great movie.

Never seen Everwood actually. Should I?

I do appreciate intellectual curiousity and a scholarly approach to one's art. *grin*

*grin* "Horrified" is perhaps the very last word I'd use to describe my reaction to QAF. ::fans self:: Oh, my.

I think it's excellent, one of the best things on TV (at least outside of the premium channels), wonderfully written, and the cast is superb. You can catch up on the premise and the first two seasons here: Everwood at tvtome.com. (There are those who like to slash Andy and Harold... but... don't know if I can quite go there. Though admittedly the snark alone would be stellar.)

Well, there's nothing like seeing the positions to understand how the heck they could possibly work.

Would really like to watch QAF myself...may have to sneek the DVD of the first 3 eps before they need to be returned tomorrow (They watched them late at night when I was sleeping...I got to hear the reactions after. I just looked at Rachel [housemate] and said in all seriousness "what's wrong w/gay porn?...and besides, it's only soft core right? What are you worried about?" I don't think I impressed her.)

Well, if I get the chance I'll check out Everwood then...not really sure when it's on though.

Now that sounds like my kind of movie. I wonder how it slipped past me. Do you know if it's out in this country?

And your research methods sound very valid to me, it's good to be thorough, yes indeedy. Only now you're making me want to write more smut damnit...and I have other stories waiting and no time. Must resist. ::tries to ignore smut bunnies, dancing provocatively in their little leather trousers::

But, but...smut is good!

And, um, btw...what IS your country? I don't actually know. *L*

Scotland. I ramble about it so much I tend to forget it's not obvious.

Btw. I haven't seen the American version of QAF, but the original UK version was great, and definitely hot. Excellent for, um, research.
