My conclusion? My collection of rain songs is SADLY lacking. Oh well, this is what I've got.
Come Clean - Hilary Duff
Okay, DON'T laugh at me for this one! This is seriously is my favorite of the bunch. I think it's because I was really in my Disney Channel phase when this was first released and the music video was played over and over. Anyway, I just love the feel of this song...and it's easy to sing to.
Like the Rain - Clint Black
I generally don't like country, but I have to say, it's got some of the best rain songs. This one just picks you up and carries you along.
Bring on the Rain - Jo Dee Messina
I'd call this country also. This one is nice though...depressing, but I like the defiance in it.
Thunder Rolls - Garth Brooks (Live)
Speaking of Country songs...this one isn't really about rain, but it's close enough. Plus I LOVE the sound effects in the background. Just don't listen to the lyrics too closely or it'll depress you. The bad thing? This is one of those live versions with the annoyingly loud audience.
Stan - Eminem featuring Dido
And now for something completely different...but since we're talking about sound effects. This isn't a song about rain at all, but almost the entire song is set to the background noise of rainfall, so it counts. Note: I did post this song before with the "stalker" songs.
Singing in the Rain - Gene Kelly
Okay, let's go for some nice oldies. You remember him singing this one, right? Dancing in a yellow raincoat and swinging on the lamppost?
Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head - Burt Bacharach
Another oldie most of you will be familar with.
Ironic - Alanis Morisette aka "God, herself"
Okay...so this isn't REALLY a rain song, but I just really, really like it and I wanted to get it in one of these posts. I'm choosing to say that since it has they lyric "like rain on your wedding day" that it qualifies. I'd DEFINITELY recommend this song!
This Town in the Rain - Anthony Stewart Head
And this begins the ASH section...This is an original song from Music for Elevators expressing how ugly L.A. is in the rain.

Another deeply personal song from Music for Elevators.
I Can't Stand the Rain - Anthony Stewart Head (Live)
This is the live version he did at the Oakland Convention last year. Okay quality. I personally like him singing it better than the original artist. Of course, I am biased! ;^)
Sao Paulo Rain - Tom Mcrae
Featured in the Episode "Entropy" from BtVS Season 6! I don't know what you'd call this style...anyway the song's not bad, but like most songs featured on Buffy, it's not the world's best, either.
Rain for Rent - Rain for Rent
This one I really like. It's mostly rhythmic, but it's meant to imply the sound of rain. Almost tribal in places.
Morning Rain - Natural History
A song that also has a heavy rhythm, but in another way. Not the best voice on the singer, but I have to admit, this song does a good job of having that heavy rain feel. Not an especially uplifting song, for sure.
London in the Rain - Variety Lab
Fun with the synthesizer. Not very big on lyrics variety.
Walking in the Rain - Grace Jones
Not really my type of song, but I can't say whether you'll like it or not. Oops! Seems this song is missing its ending...
Rain - Keltech
Pure Techno ;^)...with thunder.
