monday night action
I didnt play on playing poker, but brandon called me after i got home from work and reminded me of the free poker game. The game is free and it hops around bar to bar. you play for points and at the end of the month they have a game for $500. At the end of june they will take all the top point winners and let them battle it out. Winner to take a 10k seat into wsop. www.winyourwayin.com
I didn't do to well in this tourney. RJ, Sean, and I sat toghether. I should of known better when RJ put half his stack in the pot he had a hand. he had KK, Sean called with A-T, and I called with A-J. RJ ends up taking 2nd in game 1.
Game 2. I get into a table of 2 drunks and some fish. One drunk tries to buy the pot preflop and I go all in over the top. He lays it down. I was making a point, dont push me around. We get a table change and new table has some money on it. Blinds are 100/200, I raise to 800 with A-Q and get no action. Was being patient and right after the color up I get JJ on big blind. 3 fish limped in. So I go all in. 2 of the 3 called. They show A-7 and A-T, then A-7 hits 2 7s. I say "Nice hand Mike, win it with my chips". I learned this from something I read. If someone makes a bad play, you encourage it, so they keep playing that way. After all the JJ will hold more often than his.
Been emailing with Russ about upcoming games. He also forgot to invite me to a lunch time game today, next time. He took 2nd last night at GPT=$140, kid is hot right now. I need a streak.
If you can't tell I haven't done shit at work today. Is it me or is it slow?
