Interesting Day

Jan 04, 2010 01:00

I posted a bit about it in my main journal, but suffice to say, had my first Ultrasound today... and I went in there thinking I was 8wks6dys and came out knowing I was actually more like 5wks6dys.

So not quite out of the first tri yet.

I was hoping too, cause this queasy feeling half the time suuuuucks.

They say it goes by fast. Bull. :P This is crawling! I've got another "mid wife" meet on the 13th but I think I'm going to look for someone new after it. If they don't have me meet the new girl this time around, def just gonna go find someone new. It sucks though, because I kind of have no idea what I'm doing. : /

But I have to say, while I was slightly disappointed that the bean wasn't big enough yet for a heart beat, it was REALLY cool seeing the gestational ring and the perfect circle of a yolk sac inside my uterus.

Like... super cool. I'm kicking myself for not asking for a picture, but I figure I don't want to waste the chance to get one that has something more definitive than the penny sized yolk sac to OMG THERE'S A PENIS!

I make no sense. It's ok.

Anywhoodle, so, 6wks. Which means the birthday nookie is probably the culprit (hub's Bday was Nov 22nd) and means my due date is probably closer to late August.

I know it sounds silly, but I'm really hoping for a Leo. I want a little lion to take care of. I'm a Cancer, the hub is a Scorpio, and I really have hard times getting along with Virgos :P

Another thing that's been kinda putting me down today (which is just the hormones talking really, I'm SUPER STOKED) is that me being at 6wks means I have another 6 for something to go wrong. So much time for the crappy dice to roll not in my favor. Oy. Vey.

Ok back to the interesting SUPER COMET show on Nat Geo. Some of this makes me want to choke the show makers. EMP Pulse can't just instantly destroy something if it has NO JUICE in it. GAH!
