I love this. simply and uncut, I love this. the whole thing.

Juliet keeps her distinctiveness - the only woman to have given birth on the Island.

rather like the last episode of 'Coupling' - there's this mental *shift* and the person remains the same, yet all the old ways are left behind as responsibility and love and everything else floods in.

Characterization was something I was struggling with so I'm glad you thought it fit! I'm also glad you thought Sawyer stayed the same - I knew he wouldn't be all smooshy overr the baby but I had to give him some sort of attachment to it!

it's not old fic to me - I just found it.

actually, I think its completely in-character for Sawyer to feel protective and smooshy over the baby (though he'd deny it to his dying breath if anyone asked or teased him about it)

Oh, this is so beautifully written.

I love how they start out of desperation or hate or lust or whatever and then slowly became something more.

Badass, Juliet is such a badass, she gave birth practicly alone. Wasn't it because she needed someone to hold the baby, she would have done it all by herself. This woman is extraordinary!

The last scene with Sawyer and Rachel is super cute, I can see them so clearly in my head...

And little Rachel is such a handful, Sawyer and Juliet mixed in a tiny human being, she's bound to be troble. (But georgeus)
